To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pac Man, I made a text effect with a type game old but well updated. For those not familiar is a game that had much success in 80 years and is known far and he was a big milestone for the popularity of games.

1. Primarily for this tutorial download the font that is on this link, click here. after downloaded and installed, open the Photoshop and make a document of 700x400, leave the background black and type START with the size of 14pt.

2. This done, we will apply for part of the styles. Before we left for this part of the double layer (CTRL + J) in which you wrote. Put the name of one dentro and the other fora, and leave as below.

3. Now use within the layer and apply the styles below (Double click the layer to open the Styles panel),

4.In the photo below that are legend that you need to do to apply the gradient effect.

1. Color: # 183246 Location: 0%.
2. Color: # 347da1 Location: 50%.
3. Color: # 215b78 Location: 50%.
4. Color: # 33ffff Location: 100%.

5. You will see something like this.

What we had to do with layer 'dentro' was it, now take the layer 'fora', select the layer and apply the style below.

6.Once applied and style right-click the layer and turn on Smart Object.

7. And apply more filters;

You will arrive at this result.

8.Now let's apply a shine, hold the CTRL key and click on the outside layer, Photoshop will automatically make a selection.

9. Let selected and go to Select> Modify> Contract and leave the option to 1px and ok.

10. After that create a gradient from white to transparent, like the image below.

11. Apply the gradient in the selection as below.

12. Let the brightness of the layer with the blending mode to overlay.

13.In the same layer, create an oval selection as below;

14. Invert the selection (CTRL + SHIFT + I) and delete,

15. At the end we will make the background, create a layer below the text effect black.

16. In the Styles panel click Pattern Overlay, and load the library below.

17.Choose the pattern selected and leave the opacity at 30% as shown below;

18.And finally create a new layer above this, we just fill in black and go erasing with the eraser until you reach a satisfactory result.
